Built in 1974, by F. B. Walker and Sons of Pascagoula, Mississippi (hull #193) as the Mittie Louise for Point Landing Incorporated of Harahan, Louisiana.

In 1976, she was acquired by Koch-Ellis Marine Contractors Incorporated of Westwego, Louisiana, Where the tug retained her name.

In 1991, the tug was acquired by Eckstein Marine Service of Jefferson, Louisiana. A division of the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Taylor Marie.

In 2007, she was transferred to the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

Re powered in 2001, the tug is powered by two, Caterpillar 3412D diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,440 horsepower.
