Built in 1968, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #202) as the Dixie Volunteer for Dixie Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1998, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, the tug was acquired by Borghese Lane Incorporated of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where she was renamed as the Terry Ann.

Powered by two, Volvo D25 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.6:1. She is a twin screw, towboat, with kort nozzles, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
