Built in 1981, by Offshore Shipbuilding Incorporated of Palatka, Florida (hull #6) as the Barbary Coast for the North Bank Towing Company of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 1989, the tug was acquired by the Morania Oil Tanker Corporation of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Morania No. 5.

In 1990, she was chartered to the Mobil Oil Company of New York, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Mobil 7.

In 1991, the tug was acquired by the Mobil Oil Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Tuscarora. She was renamed in the wake of the Exxon Valdez incident. In an effort to remove the oil company's physical names from the vessel's names.

In 1995, she was acquired by Ocean Towing Services Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the C.D. Hovey.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by G and B Marine Incorporated of Beaumont, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Lelia C. Gambarella.

In 1999, she was acquired by Double Eagle Marine Incorporated of New Iberia, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Sioux Eagle.

In 2002, the tug was acquired by the Delta Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Delta Star.

In 2009, she was acquired by T and D Towing Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Miss Lizzy.

Powered by two, GM 16-149 diesel engines. With Twin Disc 540 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.1:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW, Kato generator sets. Driven by two, GM 4-71 Diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 36,000 gallons of fuel, 660 gallons of lube oil, and 7,000 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of a double drum, Smatco DAW46, double drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 1.5(in) towing cable.
