TITLETOWN U.S.A. (1962)

Built in 1962, by the Nashville Bridge Company Nashville, Tennessee (hull #1494) as the Esso West Virginia for the Esso Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware.

In 1972, the Esso Shipping Company became Exxon Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware. Where the tug initially retained her name.

In 1973, the Exxon Shipping Company renamed the tug as the Exxon West Virginia.

In 1983, she was acquired by Cargo Carriers Incorporated of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Where the tug was renamed as the Volunteer State.

In 1994, the tug was acquired by the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Cristina Eckstein.

In 1997, the Marquette Transportation Company renamed the tug as the Titletown U.S.A. She was renamed to honor the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In 2014, the Marquette Transportation Company renamed the tug as the Titletown.

In 2017, she was acquired by Argentinean interests. And, is no longer listed in documentation. Her current, and or final disposition is unknown.

Re powered in 1995, she was driven by two, EMD 16-645E5 diesel engines. With Western reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.5:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 5,600 horsepower.
