ALLMAN HUBBLE TUGBOAT COMPANY

Founded in 1898 by sailing ship master Captain John Soule, who soon partnered with Captain John Hubble and brothers Frank and Alonzo Hubble to offer tugboat services on Washington's Grays Harbor. By the height of sawmill activity in the Grays Harbor ports, Allman-Hubble boasted a fleet of 31 vessels.

By 1970 as downturn in the lumber industry had reduced the fleet to only 6 tugs, the company was purchased by the Wyman family of Seattle, Washington. Independent operations continued until 1973, when Allman-Hubble was purchased by a local rival, Quigg Brothers Incorporated of Hoquiam, Washington.
