Built in 1958, by Jakobson Shipyard Incorporated of Oyster Bay, New York (hull #384) as the Nancy Moran for the Moran Towing Company of New York, New York.
In 2008, the tug was acquired by the Eastern Towboat Corporation of East Boston, Massachusetts, where she retained her name.
In 2022, she was renamed as the Nancy Nicole, and registered as a recreational vessel.
She is a single screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
