Built in 2003, by A & B Industries of Amelia, Louisiana (hull #309) as the June K. for the Kosnac Floating Derrick, Corpration of Staten Island, New York.
The June K. was the first new construction for Kosnac Floating Derrick Corporation.
In 2009, she was acquired by DonJon Marine Company of Hillside, New Jersey where she was renamed as the Sarah Ann.
She is a AWO-RCP Certified, twin screw, model bow tug. The tug is powered by two Caterpillar 3512B main engines for a rated of 2,700 horsepower.
Her upper wheelhouse features a 22(ft) height of eye, it can be folded into a down position to reduce her height in order to fit under bridges with low clearances.
The tug's capacities are 33,350 of fuel oil, 500 gallons of engine oil, 500 gallons of slop oil, 3,585 of potable water, and 9,648 gallons of ballast.
