LELA FOSS (1966)

Built in 1966, by the Pacific Tow Boat Company of Anacortes, Washington (hull #9) as the Lela Foss for the Foss Launch and Tug Company of Tacoma, Washington.

In 1969, Pacific Tow Boat and the Foss Launch and Tug Company of Tacoma, Washington were acquired as subsidiaries of the Dillingham Corporation of Honolulu, Hawaii. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1987, Foss Maritime and its subsidiaries were acquired by Saltchuk Resources Incorporated of Seattle, Washington. Where she retained her name.

In 2005, the tug was acquired by Waterfront Construction Incorporated of Seattle, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Lela.

In 2018, she was acquired by an individual named Madison Morris of Kitsap, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as the Lela Mae. . And, she was converted for use as a recreational vessel. She was a single screw tug, rated at 365 horsepower.
