Built in 1993, by the Cenac Shipyard Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #12) as the Albert Cenac for the Cenac Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Teppco Marine Services Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2009, she was acquired by Enterprise Marine Services Incorporated of San Antonio, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Albert.

Powered by three, Lugger 6170 diesel engines. She is a triple screw towboat, rated at 2,100 horsepower.
