Built in 1971, by Gladding Hearn Shipbuilding of Somerset, Massachusetts (hull # P-146) as the Carey for Wilmington Tug Incorporated of New Castle, Delaware.

In 2025, the tug was acquired by the Delaware Bay Launch Service Incorporated of Milford, Delaware. Where she converted for use as a launch and retained her name.

She was a twin screw tug, rated at 380 horsepower.
