Built in 1982, by Kenner Marine and Machinery Incorporated of Laplace, Louisiana (hull #73) as the Durango for L.G. Everist Incorporated of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

In 2005, the tug was acquired by the Connolly-Pacific Company of Long Beach, California. Where she retained her name.

Powered by two, GMC 12V71N diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug, rated 720 horsepower.
