Built in 1979 by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #336) as the Capt. Luke for Luke V. Bellanger Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.

The tug was later acquired by the Connolly-Pacific Company of Long Beach, California. Where she was renamed as the Patcona II.

Powered by two, DDEC 12V149Ti diesel engines, with kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated 2,500 horsepower.
