Built in 1981, by Verret Shipyard Incorporated of Plaquemine, Louisiana (hull #36) as the Tamera Pickett for Coastal Towing Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 2003, the tug was acquired by Florida Marine Transporters Incorporated of Mandeville, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Nicole.

In 2011, she was acquired by Genesis Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Sandra Brumley.

Powered by two, EMD 12-645 diesel engines. Turning two, 84(in) by 75(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, with flanking rudders. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW generator sets. Driven by two, Detroit Diesel diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 25,000 gallons of fuel.
