MISS KORI

Built in 1973, by Sneed Shipbuilding Incorporated of Orange, Texas (hull #29) as the Mike S. Brown for Higman Barge Lines Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 2001, the tug was acquired by Double Eagle Marine Incorporated of New Iberia, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Michelle.

In 2004, Double Eagle Marine Incorporated renamed the tug as the Miss Kori.

In 2010, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Caterpillar D-353 diesel engines. With Twin Disc 521 reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.03:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 14,000 gallons of fuel oil, and 8,000 gallons of potable water.
