Built in 1966, by Blount Marine of Warren, Rhode Island as Mohawk for the Moran Towing Company of New York, New York.

In 1978, the tug was acquired by the Prudential Lines of New York, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Clolinger.

She was later acquired by the American Boat Company of Cahokia, Illinois. Where the tug retained her name.

The tug was a small, single screw, push boat. Rated at 1,000 horsepower.
