Built in 1976, by the Sabine Transportation Company of Port Arthur, Texas (hull #10) as the Zeus for the Sabine Transportation Company of Port Arthur, Texas. A subsidy of the Chromalloy American Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri.

In 1980, the Chromalloy American Corporation was acquired by the Sequa Corporation of New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1992, the former assets of the Sabine Transportation Company where acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, the tug was acquired by the Hailey’s Harbor Intermodal Transportation Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she retained her name.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA38-M1 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.18:1. She is a twin screw, towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
