Built in 1979, by Sidney Henry Boat Builders Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #78010) as the Creole Rolanette for Hollywood Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1999, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Port Arthur.

In 2004, she was acquired by the Ohio River Salvage Company Incorporated of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up."

In 2019, the tug was acquired by the Southern Dredging Company Incorporated of Charleston, South Carolina. Where she was renamed as the Southern Rose.

She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
