Built in 1980, by National Shipbuilding Incorporated of Bourg, Louisiana (hull #101) as the Creole Tut for Hollywood Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2018, she was acquired by the Stevens Towing Company Incorporated of Yonges Island, South Carolina. Where the tug was renamed as the Island Fox.

Powered by two, Volvo D12 diesel engines. She is a twin screw, square bow, push boat. Rated at 900 horsepower.
