Powered by two, Tier II compliant, Detroit Diesel MTU/DDC 12V4000 diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF872 reduction gears, at a ratio 7.087:1. Turning two, three bladed, 96(in) by 92(in) pitch, right hand turning, stainless steel propellers. Mounted in kort nozzles, with quad rudders. For a rated 3,600 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 70kW, John Deere 4045-50 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 98,000 gallons of fuel, 1,360 gallons of lube oil, and 8,000 gallons of water.
The towing gear consists of an Almon Johnson (V-4) towing winch, with pendant drum, and gypsy head. Outfitted with 2,600(ft) 2.25(in) towing wire on the primary drum, and 600(ft) of 2(in) towing wire on the pendant drum. Powered by a single, GM 6-71 diesel engine, with an Allison 3331, three, speed torque converter. With a Pullmaster 25 bridle winch. Outfitted 150(ft) of 1.25(in) wire. Rated at 22,000(lbs) at 50(fpm).
