Built in 2006, by Washburn and Doughty Associates of East Boothbay, Maine (hull #87) as the April Moran for the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-645F7B diesel engines. Turning two Schottel z-drives. Outfitted with two, 94.48(in), stainless steel propellers, for a rated 5,100 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 29,587 gallons of fuel, 2,166 gallons of lube oil, 2,324 gallons of fresh water.

She is a FiFi 1 classed escort vessel outfitted with two electrically powered FFS monitors that can be controlled from the pilothouse or at the monitors. As well as a deluge system, and the ability to work a fire for a minimum of twenty four hours. The pumps are driven by a pair of 900 horsepower Caterpillar 3412C diesel engines and Nijhuis HGTFI 1 250.500. pumps.

Her deck equipment consists of a Markey DEPC-48 electric winch mounted on the bow. The DEPC-48 winch has a drum capacity of 500(ft) of 9(in) soft line and a capstan with "h-bitts" aft.
