Built in 2007, by Lockport Fabrication Incorporated of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #6) as the Karen Koby for La Carriers Transportation Service Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana

In 2010, the tug was acquired by Vale Coal Limited of Barranquilla, Columbia. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2015, the tug was acquired by Metropolitan Marine Transportation Incorporated of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Normandy.

She is a triple screw tug, rated at 1,900 horsepower.
