ISLAND MASTER

Built in 1967, by McKay-Cormack Limited at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada as the Island Master for Island Tug and Barge Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. A subsidiary of McAllister Towing Limited Montreal of Montreal.

In 1969, Island Tug and Barge Limited was acquired by Genstar Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1971, Genstar Limited partnered with the Dillingham Corporation to merge Island Tug and Barge with the Vancouver Tug Boat Company, creating Seaspan Marine Incorporated of Vancouver, British Columbia. Where the tug was renamed as the Seaspan Master.

In 2012, the tug was retired and scrapped.
