CROSBY PROGRESS
Built in 1980, by the Dravo Steelship Corporation of Pine Bluff, Arkansas (hull #162-88-80) as the Pintail for Mississippi Fleet and Towing Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana.
In 2003, the tug later acquired by the Stevens Towing Company Incorporated of Yonges Island, South Carolina. Where she was renamed as the Island Progress.
In 2010, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Crosby Progress.
Completely rebuilt in 2002, the tug is powered by two, Caterpillar 399 diesel engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 3,000 horsepower.
The tug's electrical service is provided by two 40kW generator sets. Her capacities are 38,140 gallons of fuel, and 1,200 gallons of potable water.
