The tug was later acquired by the Matador Service Company of Baytown, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Matador XVIII.
She was acquired by the Chesapeake Corporation. Which would become St. Laurent Paper Products Company of West Point, Virginia. Where the tug was renamed as the Capt. Grady
In 1998, she was acquired by the Vane Brothers Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Where she was renamed as the Doris Hamlin. The tug was the exact beam of the original schooner for which she is named.
In 2009, the tug acquired by Porteadores Del Noroeste S.A. DE C.V. of Porteadores, Mexico. Where she was renamed as the Ponosa VII.
She was a square bow, twin screw pushboat powered by two Caterpillar diesel engines with turbo chargers for a rated 1,800 horsepower.
