WEST POINT

Built in 1992, by the Western Towboat Company Incorporated of Seattle, Washington (hull #6) as the West Point for the Western Towboat Company of Seattle, Washington.

She was the second Westrac class tug built by the Western Towboat Company. The tug's hull will be constructed of steel, with the pilot house, and superstructure constructed of aluminum.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines. Turning two, 52(in) by 52(in) propellers mounted in Ulstein z-drive units, for a rated 1,200 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 50kW Caterpillar 3304 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 10,00 gallons of fuel and 200 gallons of lube.

The towing gear consists of a single drum, Nordic towing winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 2(in) towing wire.
