Built in 1989, by Moss Point Marine Incorporated of Escatawpa, Mississippi (hull #109) as the Baltimore for Express Marine Incorporated of Camden, New Jersey.
In 2008, the tug was outfitted with a JAK-500 coupler system. And, "married" to the barge EMI 1850.
Powered by a single, twelve cylinder, EMD-L16710G7 diesel engine. Turning a single, cast steel, fixed pitch, propeller. Mounted in a kort nozzle, with a flanking rudder for a rated 3,600 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW generator sets. With a third, 125kW Marathon 431PSL6202 auxiliary generator. The tug's capacities are 105,140 gallons of fuel.
