Built in 1936, by Jakobson Shipyard Incorporated of Brooklyn New York (hull #259) as the Dauntless No. 11 for the Dauntless Towing Company of New York, New York.

In 1955, the tug was acquired by the Moran Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Martha Moran.

In 1978, she was acquired by the Crosby Towboat Company of Boston, Massachusetts. Where she was renamed as the Dauntless.

In 1989, the tug was acquired by the C and M Towing Company of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2005, she went out of documentation. Her current, and or, final disposition is unknown. The tug was single screw, rated at 625 horsepower.
