NEW YORK CENTRAL No. 3 (1886)

Built in 1886, by John H. Dialogue and Son of Camden, New Jersey (hull# 270) as the C.C. Clarke for the New York Central Railroad Company of New York, New York.

However, the the New York Central Railroad Company renamed the tug as the New York Central No.3.

She was later sold. Where she was renamed as the A.W. Whitman.

In 1918, she was sold. Where she was renamed as the Corona.

In 1950, the tug was acquired by the Cape Fear Towing Company of Wilmington, North Carolina. Where she was renamed as the Shamrock.

The tug was later acquired by the McAllister Brothers Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Susan Elizabeth.

In 2008, the tug was scrapped. She was a single screw, tug rated at 1,800 horsepower.
