MOBIL 10

Built in 1948, by Gulfport Shipbuilding of Port Arthur, Texas (hull #335) as the Socony 10 for the Socony Vacum Oil Company of New York, New York.

In 1955, the Socony Vacum Oil Company became the Socony Mobil Oil Company of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1966, the Socony Mobil Oil Company became the Mobil Oil Corporation of New York, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Mobil 10.

In 1974, the tug was acquired by the McAllister Brothers Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Alexandra McAllister.

In 1999, she was scrapped. The tug was single screw, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
