Built in 2001, by the Cenac Towing Company Shipyard of Houma, Louisiana as the Al Cenac for the Cenac Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by the Metropolitan Marine Company of Staten Island, New York where she was renamed as the Pegasus.

She is a twin screw tug rated at 1,900 horsepower.
