Built in 1976, by the Dravo Corporation of Neville Island, Pennsylvania (hull #6377) as the A.W. Mulzer for Mulzer Crushed Stone of Tell City, Illinois.

She was later acquired by the Madison Coal and Supply Company of Charleston, West Virginia where she was renamed as the Morris Harvey.

However, The Madison Coal and Supply Company, would later become Amherst Madison Incorporated of Charleston, West Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Lawson W. Hamilton Jr.

She is twin screw, rated at 2,200 horsepower.
