TURECAMO GIRLS (1965)
Built in 1965, by Diamond Manufacturing of Savannah, Georgia (hull #M-250) as the Capt. Jan Porel for the Diamond Manufacturing Company of Savannah, Georgia.
In 1966, the tug was acquired by the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Turecamo Girls.
In 1998, the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York was acquired by the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2022, the tug was acquired by Associated Marine Salvage Incorporated of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Dimuro Clark.
In 2023, the tug was acquired by Fowlco Maritime and Project Services of Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas. Where she was renamed as the Heroic I.
In 2024, she grounded in Man-O-War Channel in the Bahamas and sunk.
Powered by two, naturally aspirated, eight cylinder, EMD 567 diesel engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,950 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 30kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 39,890 gallons of fuel.
