MARY TURECAMO (1972)

Built in 1972, by the Matton Shipyard Company of Cohes, New York (hull #340) as the Mary Turecamo for the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York.

In 1980, the tug was chartered to the Texaco Marine Company Incorporated of Beaumont, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Texaco Capella.

In 1989, the tug was returned to the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the John Turecamo.

In 1998, the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation was acquired by the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, she was acquired by the Port Side Marine and Towing Company of Pensacola, Florida. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-645-E2 diesel engines. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 60kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 45,701 gallons of fuel.
