Built in 1966, by Delta Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana as the Sylvia A. for the Delta Mud and Chemical Company of Houma, Louisiana.

The tug was later acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Tara Crosby.

In 2011, she was acquired by Thoma-Sea Marine Constructors Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Ship Boat 01.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 600 horsepower.
