LAURIE ANN REINAUER

Built in 2009, by SENESCO Marine of North Kingston, Rhode Island (hull #203) as the Laurie Ann Reinauer for Reinauer Transportation Companies of Staten Island, New York.

She was the second FACETTUG class tug designed by Robert Hill of Ocean Tug and Barge for Reinauer Transportation.

The tug represents a new concept in tug design. The FACETTUG class's hull shape is designed to allow installation of double skin fuel tanks in small vessels easier.

She is powered by two MTU 16v-4000 M60 diesel engines rated at 2,360 horsepower each taken at 1,800 RPM with Lufkin RS2850HG reduction gears at a ratio of 7.5:1. turning two three bladed NAUTICAN 104(in) propellers mounted in NAUTICAN nozzles with triple shutter rudders for a rated 4,000 horsepower.

The tug is fitted with an INTERcon Series "C" coupler system with two 34(in) diameter pins.

Her electrical power is supplied by three 99 kW John Deere generator with Marathon electric ends. One generator is dedicated to the INTERcon coupler system.
