Built in 1998, by Thoma-Sea Boatbuilders Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #114) as the Crosby Crusader for the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3516 diesel engines. With reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 6,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 85,000 gallons of fuel oil, and 5,000 gallons of potable water.

The towing equipment consists of a double drum, DW 65, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,500(ft) of 2(in) towing wire on each drum.
