Built in 1972, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #263) as the Captain Whitney the Rebstock Towing Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana

In 1989, the tug was acquired by E.N. Bisso and Son Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the C.D. White.

In 2010, she was acquired by undisclosed Panamanian interests. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, EMD 8-645 E6 diesel engines. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 2,300 horsepower.

Her towing gear consisted of a double drum towing machine outfitted 2,000(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire.
