Built in 1944, by Burger Boat of Manitowic, Wisconsin (hull #ST 912) as the ST 912 for the United States Army.

The tug was later transferred to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she was renamed as the Ashland .

She was eventually retired from service and was sold where she was renamed as the Jason . Her current and or final disposition is unknown.
