EFFIE AFTON

Built in 1944, by St. Louis Ship of St. Louis, Missouri (hull #DPC 619) as the Mateur (DPC 619 ) for the United States Army.

In 1991, the tug was acquired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she was renamed as the Effie Afton .

The tug was eventually retired from service and was converted to a floating restaurant in Davenport, Louisiana.
