Built in 1992, by VT Halter Marine Incorporated of Escatawpa, Mississippi (hull #116) as the Barbara E. Bouchard for the Bouchard Transportation Company of Melville, New York.

In 2013, the tug was outfitted with an INTERcon Model 50 coupler system. Although the tug was fitted with a coupler system. Her traditional towing equipment was retained to allow for traditional towing.

In 2020, she was placed out of active service and was "laid up" at Corpus Christi, Texas.

In 2021, the tug was acquired by JMB Shipping Operations of Los Angeles, California. Where she retained her name.

In 2021, she was acquired by Dann Marine Towing Company of Chesapeake City, Maryland. Where the tug was renamed as the Turquoise Coast.

Powered by two, EMD 16-645-F7B diesel engines. Turning two, bronze, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 6,800 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by three, 9kW generator sets. Driven by three, DetThe tug's capacities are 145,247 gallons of fuel, 4,853 gallons of lube oil, 1,819 gallons of waste oil, and 8,592 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of a Marky TDSD 36, double drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,200(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire on the primary towing drum. And, 600(ft) 1.5(in) towing wire on the secondary drum.
