Built in 1999, by Seaport Marine Builders Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana (hull #3) as the Mr. Crosby for the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana.
In 2020, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Berwick, Louisiana.
In 2025, she was acquired by Trinity Tugs LLC. of Galliano, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Brooke D. Tregre.
In 2026 the tug was rebuilt at Main Iron Works Incorporated in Bourg, Louisiana. Where the tug received extensive steel work, underwater gear, new electronic and coatings.
Powered by two, Caterpillar 3412E diesel engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 22,000 gallons of fuel oil, and 5,000 gallons of potable water.
The towing gear consists of Markey TES-24, towing winch. Outfitted with 1,700(ft) of 1-1/2 (in) tow wire, along with a suitcase anchor drum.
