Built in 1982, by the Louis G. Ortis Boat Company of Krotz Springs, Louisiana (hull #153) as the Columbia for Dresser Industries Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.
In 1992, the tug was acquired by the M1 Drilling Fluids Company of Amelia, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 2015, she was acquired by Central Boat Rentals Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.
Repowered in 2019, she is powered by two Mitsubishi S6R-Y3MPTAW diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.04:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,500 horsepower.
