Named for silent film star George “Pete” Morrison's horse, Lightning. Who starred in multiple silent films alongside Morrison.

In 2019, Harley Marine Services Incorporated became the Centerline Logistics Corporation of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2025, Centerline Logistics Incorporated was acquired by Maritime Partners LLC. of Metairie, Louisiana. Where the company is operated as a subsidy of Maritime Partners LLC. and the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Tier II compliant, Cummins K38M diesel engines. With Twin Disc MGX5321 reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.96:1. Turning two, 72(in), four bladed, fixed pitch, stainless steel propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 85kW generator sets. Driven by two, Cummins 6BTA5.9-DM diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 30,000 gallons of fuel, 6,000 gallons of water, and 200 gallons of lube oil.

The towing gear consists of two, Nabrico 20 HE, hydraulic /electric face winches winches, mounted on her bow.
