Built in 2025, by Master Boat Builders Incorporated of Coden, Alabama (hull #486) as the Newt Moran for the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut.

The tug is a RApport 2800 class tug, designed by the naval architecture firm Robert Allen Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Powered by two, Tier IV compliant, Caterpillar 3512E diesel engines. With Kongsberg US 2055 FP z-drives. She is a twin screw tractor tug, rated at 6,770 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75 KW, John Deere 4045 generators generator sets. The tug's capacities are 24,000 gallons of fuel.

Her towing equipment consists of a Markey DEPC-52 winch on the bow, and a Markey CEW-60 capstan on the stern.
