Built in 2004, by Eastern Shipbuilding Group of Panama City, Florida (hull #829) as the Candace for Weeks Marine Incorporated of Cranford, New Jersey.

The tug is a Damen Shoalbuster class utility vessel. She was designed for shallow draft work, including beach restoration, and or, dredge pipeline tendering.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3508B diesel engines. With Reinjet WAF 562 reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.050:1. Turning two, 71.18(in) by 68.31(in), four bladed, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,100 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by one, 65kW generator set. Driven by a Caterpillar 3304B diesel engine. And, a 99kW generator set. Driven by a Caterpillar 3304B diesel engine. The tug's capacities are 32,704 gallons of fuel, 431 gallons of lube oil, and 7,939 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of a 40 ton, double drum, Kraaijeveld towing winch. Outfitted 1800(ft) of 1.5(in) towing wire on the primary drum. And, 200(ft) of 1.25(in) towing wire on the secondary drum. Powered by a Damen kas-40/h-tr-/ tr no.2888-519402 diesel engine.
