Built in 1972, by Halter Marine Services Incorporated (hull #350) as the Arkansas Traveller for the Union Barge Line Corporation of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In 1973, the tug was transferred to the Union Mechling Corporation of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A subsidy of the Union Barge Line Corporation of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where she retained her name.

In 1978, she was leased to the Scott Chotin Jr. Incorporated of Mandeville, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1980, the tug was transferred to the Dravo Mechling Corporation of New Orleans, Louisiana. A subsidy of the Union Barge Line Corporation of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1980, she was leased to Compass Marine Services Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Buckles.

In 1987, the tug was leased to the Capital Towing Corporation of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 1988, she was acquired by National Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1996, the tug was returned to National Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 1998, she was acquired by American Commercial Barge Lines Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2001, the tug was acquired by Upper Missouri River Corporation of Whiteville, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Judith McDaniel.

In 2005, she was acquired by John's Towing Service Incorporated of Shippingport, Pennsylvania. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2006, the tug was acquired by Golding Barge Line Incorporated of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Where she was renamed as the Lori Johnson.

In 2007, she was acquired by Martin Midstream Partnership Incorporated of Vidor, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, the tug was acquired by the Crown Transport Company of Jackson, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Crown Jewel.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.625:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,400 horsepower.
