Built in 1974, by Intercoastal Shipyard Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana as the Jack Gordy for Barge Movers Incorporated of Baldwin, Louisiana.

In 1976, the tug was acquired by Midstream Fuel Service Incorporated of Fairhope, Alabama. Where the tug was renamed as the Jeanie G. and was operated by Tenn-Tom Towing Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama.

In 2006, she was acquired by the Martin Midstream Partnership Incorporated of Vidor, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, the tug was acquired by an individual named Mark Alan Lacouture of Orange, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Brantley.

Powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat rated at 800 horsepower.
