DAVID FOSS (1967)

Built in 1968, by Albina Machine and Engine Works of Portland, Oregon (hull #405) as the David Foss for the Foss Launch and Tug Company of Tacoma, Washington.

On January 11th 1975, she foundered in 60(ft) of water on Cook Inlet near Kasilof, Alaska. All six crew onboard escaped safely. The tug was never salvaged.

She was a single screw tug, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
