Built in 1982, by Sanchez Marine Services Incorporated of Fall River, Massachusetts (hull #8110) as the Steuart Brothers for the Steuart Transportation Company of Piney Point, Maryland.

In 1990, the tug was acquired by the Gulf Marine Transportation Company of Tampa, Florida. where she was renamed as the Prevail.

In 1996, she was acquired by the Martin Midstream Partnership Incorporated of Vidor, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Martin Spirit.

In 2015, the tug was acquired by West Indies Petroleum Limited of Kingston, Jamaica. Where she was renamed as the W.I.P Spirit.

She was a twin screw tug, rated at 3,600 horsepower.
