Built in 1981, by Rayco Shipbuilders and Repairs Incorporated of Bourg, Louisiana (hull #85) as the Brooke for the Tenn-Tom Towing Company of Mobile, Alabama.

In 2006, she was acquired by Martin Midstream Partnership Incorporated of Vidor, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2020, the tug was acquired by Brennan Marine Incorporated of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Where she was renamed as the Merrell Colsch.

Powered by two, Mitsubishi S12A2-MPTA diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
